Expanding on its renowned Phantom innovation, Hurley is launching the first-ever Phantom Jandal, hitting online and in stores for summer.

The new Hurley Phantom Jandal applies the technological advances first seen within Hurley’s award-winning Phantom board shorts to this new range of footwear.  Launching in four colourways, including an on-trend black/neon yellow as well as black/cyan, black/black and black/white, the Phantom sandal sole features Nike Free technology, with its flex grooves designed to mimic the foots movement.

The upper is constructed using spacer mesh technology, which allows for a sandal that is both breathable and washable.  The soft, eva footbed molds to the foot, creating conformed comfort for the wearer.  The result?  The most comfortable, functional sandal to date. “Phantom innovation is all about second skin, Nike free is all about the bare foot (natural motion)” says Ryan Hurley, Creative Director. “Bringing these two schools of thought together seemed very natural.”

Jason Haynes, Hurley Australia General Manager adds, “The Phantom sandals continues Hurley’s focus to create innovative products, bringing together two great platforms, Phantom and Nike Free Technology. Consumers who understand the comfort of the Nike Free sole will appreciate the quality level that sits within the Phantom Jandal.  This is another opportunity for Hurley’s to extend on its Phantom Platform for the consumer and brings a new dimension in comfort, fashion and functionality to the market.”

Hurley’s Cooper Chapman (ASP Junior Men’s World Ranking #5) and Adrian (Ace) Buchan (ASP Men’s World Ranking #9) have been wearing the new Phantom Jandals, both commenting on the extreme comfort.  Adrian Buchan says, ”I love the feeling of wearing the Phantom boardies and the phantom sandal is no different. I can wear them all day whether I’m on the beach or on the road. Perfect!”  Cooper Chapman adds, “I’m going to live in the new Phantom sandals this summer, they’re so comfortable and easy to wear on or off the beach.”

The Phantom Jandal will be available from December 1 on
